I am a researcher by training, and over the last few years I have developed deep expertise in behavioural science. I work inter-disciplinarily: drawing from psychology, criminology, sociology and behavioural economics. At times I have described myself as a semi-academic. I draw from academia what is useful, and aim to apply those insights in practice and useful ways.
I use what works and discard what doesn’t. I work hard to communicate clearly and concisely.
Across a varied career I’ve studied and worked on issues such as corruption, poaching, unemployment, debt, crime, addiction, disinformation, and propaganda. The topics have shifted, but the thread running through them is deep fascination with understanding human behaviour, and working to change it.
I also work on issues relating to people management, such as: managing all-remote teams, improving team performance and increasing integrity, reducing corruption and reducing stock shrinkage.
